Every child can learn

The role of every parent is critical. Your guidance, care and love indispensable.

Evidence demonstrates that parents who take time to enjoy and celebrate each stage of development, those who involve themselves in supporting learning, are choosing to invest in their child`s independence and success.

Impact Learning works in partnership with schools and families to ensure that every child is equipped with a raft of critical learning and essential reading, writing and communication skills that enable every student to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding to the very best of their ability; every lesson, every day. The Impact Learning Programme takes learners from the hard shoulder, to the fast lane.

We provide unique resources that scaffold and secure learning to increase every child`s capacity for learning and rapidly achieve the Feel Clever Factor for all students, teachers and parents.

Through schools and through family workshops we provide a learning, language and literacy skills based programme that:

• teaches every student how to apply specific thinking and learning skills, learning strategies and learning behaviours

• teaches students, from school entry to sixth form, how to become an effective learner and skilled communicator

• extends and refines the quality of adult instruction for parents, teachers and assistants

The Impact Learning Programme and WordPower Express programme unlock the potential for effective learning that remains underdeveloped in most young people and many adults. As the communication skills and intellect of each student or adult are stimulated and advanced, self confidence, self esteem and self respect are proactively increased.

Effective Learning Skills include:

• Locating information

• Thinking, reasoning, figuring out

• Identifying similarities, noting differences

• Comparing and contrasting information

• Building on, elaborating, extending ideas

• Summarising, discarding

• Asking questions, challenging

• Reviewing information

• Clarifying knowledge and understanding

The majority of adults use these skills and others, which tend to be applied unconsciously, sometimes by default. Imagine how much more knowledge and understanding could be accomplished and applied, if these skills were identified, taught, improved and expanded at a far earlier age!

We work with schools and parents to demonstrate how managing learning, manages behaviour. We are intent and delighted to work in partnership with young people, their parents and members of the local community to increase the motivation, engagement and aspiration of every individual and create highly skilled, financially independent young people who are empowered and equipped to take care of themselves and their families; transforming their own lives and those of the next generation.

Impact Learning combines high level literacy acquisition, communication and behaviour management skills - quite rightly interwoven with improving parenting skills and teaching practice through the use of unique learning resources. It requires every student and every adult to demonstrate how they are consistently able to `raise the bar`, how to use specific skills to be successful and how to sustain motivation through engineering the Feel Clever Factor, Wow.
